About The Position

The Security Officer monitors the safety and security of the DCMC campus while on duty. The role includes assisting patients, visitors, and staff with access and potential concerns; patrolling the facility and grounds; responding to emergency alerts and codes; and coordinating with local law enforcement. The Security Officer helps deter crime and prevent theft and serves as a first responder in emergency and non-emergency situations. This is a casual-call position with no set schedule, working as needed on 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• 1–3 years of related security experience, healthcare experience, or other related public service or safety experience.
• Obtain an IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security) Basic Training Course Certificate during the first year of employment.
