About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an assigned financial institution in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours can vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated schedule is Thursday, 8:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service to employees, customers, and visitors; follows site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities; patrols banking areas and nearby grounds; monitors access and activity; responds to incidents and alarms; and documents events and shift handoffs. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable state or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Must submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, customers, and visitors at a financial institution while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, remain alert to unusual conditions, and report security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications according to site requirements.
