About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Lexington MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in various industries, including healthcare. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will have the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support an orderly environment for daily operations and/or after-hours activity.
  • Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations observed during patrols, following post orders and location-specific procedures.
