About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to safeguard clients across a range of industries and work at varied sites in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role offers hands-on experience and exposure to diverse work environments. Employees work 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary weekly and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and employees may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The pay rate is $18.59 per hour.

Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Security licensing may be required before employment depending on applicable state or local requirements. Driving positions require a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel the required distance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Complete a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
