About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The position provides a consistent assigned-site schedule with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The assigned anchor shifts require a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The role provides security and customer service at a technology-focused location. The officer follows site policies and security procedures, responds to incidents and alarms, patrols the property, monitors access, and documents relevant activity. The listed schedule is Monday and Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, alarm activations, and critical situations; follow site procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements according to site policies.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
