About The Position

The Security Officer ensures the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and visitors at Patriot Security Enterprises LLC. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to security incidents, and maintaining a secure environment. The position is located in Romulus, Michigan, and has a listed shift of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security or a related field.
• Experience monitoring and patrolling premises to ensure safety and security.
• Strong observational and surveillance skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to maintain premises security.
• Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect intrusion and check the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, including damage, theft, unauthorized persons, and unusual occurrences.
• Contact police or fire departments during emergencies, such as fires or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure they operate properly and to detect tampering.
• Monitor and adjust controls regulating building systems such as air conditioning, furnaces, or boilers.
