About The Position

As a full-time armed Security Officer with Allied Universal in New Orleans, Louisiana, you will safeguard a commercial real estate location. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible security presence, respond to security concerns, and help provide a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors through customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at a rate of $16.00 per hour.

Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. The officer must participate in industry-specific security training. Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations through established channels.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, following site protocols and applicable laws.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation about patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
