About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Clayton, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, supporting access control, responding to alarms and incidents, and providing customer service. The schedule is Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.32 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, driver, and employee entry procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
