About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting an automotive location in Sumter, South Carolina, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing customer service and communication. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal’s driver policy requirements. You will work as part of a team that emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

The position is full-time and pays $15.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Wednesday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Thursday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; it is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
