About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned warehouse and industrial site in Bohemia, New York. The role provides a fixed weekly shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional hours may allow employees to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The scheduled shift is Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $19.07 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security procedures, unarmed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, reporting, and shift handoffs. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening. Security licensing may be required under state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility, production, warehouse, parking, loading dock, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document personnel, vendor, and delivery entry and exit activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, and communicate observed concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
