About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Support in Englewood, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, hallways, entrances, parking areas, athletic facilities, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school policies, directing guests and communicating concerns to appropriate school personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.
