As an Unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use computer or tablet tools to support daily operations, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, building access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor management and delivery coordination.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
