About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Support Patrol in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, integrity, and a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
