About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Management in Lake Orion, Michigan, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as logistics and distribution. At a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and support loss prevention while representing Allied Universal’s culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, employee parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
