About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Visitor Management in Nicholasville, Kentucky, to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. The role helps maintain an orderly and welcoming environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and providing customer service and clear communication. Officers help deter security-related incidents and respond to access concerns and other situations according to site procedures. The position is scheduled Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency-response activities.
Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, authorizing entry according to site procedures, and maintaining visitor and driver records.
Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at assigned entry points and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and security-related incidents.
