Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Security Clearance
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a dynamic aerospace and defense location in East Hartford, Connecticut. The officer will help safeguard critical operations through routine patrols, a visible security presence, access monitoring, and professional customer service and communication. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $22.36 per hour. Applicants must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Requirements
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
- Accurately document patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
