As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Verify credentials, issue and collect visitor badges, maintain access records, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, control access to restricted areas, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and security-related response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying across the chemical and petrochemical location.
