As a Security Officer in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team at Allied Universal while acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Screen incoming deliveries, vehicles, and materials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
