About The Position

As a Security Officer in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Dispatch Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will coordinate communications, monitor access activity, and support prompt responses to security-related incidents. You will maintain accurate logs, assist with routine patrol coordination, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and coordinate incoming calls, radio traffic, alarms, and routine communications from a dispatch center, documenting activities and relaying information to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, dispatching available personnel and notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, access-related records, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor site activity through available systems and communications, helping to deter unauthorized activity and supporting timely response to developing situations.
