About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol a government airport facility in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard clients and maintain an orderly environment through visible security presence, facility patrols, access control support, visitor assistance, and incident response. The role requires professional customer service, clear communication, and adherence to site-specific procedures and security policies. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to airport visitors, passengers, employees, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established emergency response procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.
