About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed route patrol driver to serve and safeguard clients at a technology data center location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer conducts facility and perimeter patrols, monitors access points, helps deter incidents through a visible presence, and supports a welcoming environment with customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. The pay rate is $21.79 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns as appropriate.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and observations.
