Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Route Driver
About The Position
As a part-time unarmed patrol route driver in Marrero, Louisiana, you will help safeguard a retail location by conducting vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable laws.
- Drug screening, to the extent permitted by law, as a condition of employment.
- State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random vehicle and foot patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and the building perimeter.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior, access issues, property damage, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, employees, visitors, and responding public-service personnel.
