About The Position

As a part-time Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Plainfield, Indiana, you will help manage facility entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture with integrity and teamwork. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $17.41 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, logging visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations according to established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and access-control documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
