About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a reception security role at a healthcare location in Houston, Texas. The officer will serve as a welcoming, visible presence for patients, visitors, and staff while managing access, monitoring entry activity, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service and communication. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.10 per hour. The position is part of Allied Universal’s security team and involves following site-specific procedures and security policies.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Staff the front desk; greet and screen visitors; verify identification and access authorization; issue visitor credentials; and maintain visitor records.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems, and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
Direct visitors, answer phones, provide general information, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
