As a Security Officer Driving Required in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth access control operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or designated checkpoints, verify credentials and authorized access, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas, parking areas, loading and unloading zones, and other assigned spaces, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity by observing surroundings, reporting unusual conditions, and following established security-related procedures.
