About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location in San Jose, California. The officer will safeguard clients and provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management. The role includes monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control and alarm-response activities, and documenting observations and incidents. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience.
• A guard card or license.
• Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Carry out emergency-response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious conditions, and policy violations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs according to site procedures.
