About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer at a refinery plant site in Sweeny, Texas. The position pays $14.50 per hour, with weekly pay, and is full-time with 12-hour shifts. The officer will help safeguard the site, provide customer service, follow safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, respond to emergencies and critical situations, and conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. The work may involve standing and walking for extended periods and working outdoors in the elements.

Requirements

• At least one year of security experience.
• Clean driver's license with no flags or suspensions.
• Comfort using computers or tablets for gate access.
• Experience with badging and access control.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
