About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Jacksonville, Florida, at an industrial location. The officer will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, monitoring access activity, and documenting security-related information. The role involves serving employees, visitors, and delivery personnel with professional customer service and following site-specific procedures. The posted schedule is Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access control policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities by verifying credentials, registering visitors, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter.
Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, incident reports, and other required access control documentation.
