About The Position

The part-time Security Officer helps maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. The role monitors facility access, performs routine property checks, and provides a visible security presence during assigned shifts. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekends.

Requirements

Driver's license required.
Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
Capable of walking long distances while securing the facility.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to use basic computer programs and security systems.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; the employer will not provide sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous security, military, manufacturing, or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to company facilities.
Provide entry assistance to visitors, contractors, and vendors as needed.
Conduct periodic walks of the facility and parking areas.
Monitor security cameras and report unusual activity.
Complete basic shift logs and incident reports as needed.
Secure doors, gates, and buildings during non-operating hours.
Respond to employee or visitor questions and provide assistance as needed.
Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or policy violations to management.
Support emergency procedures, including evacuations, severe weather events, and medical emergencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
