As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, observe contractor and visitor activity, and support access control practices in accordance with property rules and post instructions.
  • Assist with reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious conditions encountered during patrols, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel for follow-up.
