About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol Unit in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic government location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support day-to-day operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a people-first experience for everyone on site.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, assisting with entry procedures, directions, and security-related questions in accordance with post orders.
  • Communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or public service personnel regarding incidents, suspicious activity, and conditions requiring additional attention.
