About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial distribution location in Kansas City, Missouri. The officer will help manage facility entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor access activity, provide professional customer service, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role supports a welcoming environment and requires following site-specific procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities. The published schedule is Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.69 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow established site procedures, and promptly report concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, perimeter areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Accurately document incidents, access activity, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
