About The Position

Guardian Security Services is seeking professional Security Officers to support a commercial property in New York City. This client-facing role helps maintain the safety and security of the building while providing a professional presence for tenants, guests, and vendors. Officers contribute to a safe, well-managed property through courteous and attentive service, sound judgment, strong communication, and a polished demeanor. Duties may vary depending on site needs. The position offers morning, evening, and overnight shifts and is available full-time or part-time. Pay is $19.45 per hour. F01 and S95 certifications are a plus, and computer skills are a must. Requirements

Valid New York State Security Guard License.
8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate.
16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate.
Computer skills are a must.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required.

Nice To Haves

F01 certification.
S95 certification.
Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or other customer-facing security roles.

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for residents, guests, and vendors.
Monitor building access points and remain aware of building activity.
Conduct routine interior and exterior building patrols.
Monitor surveillance cameras and building security systems.
Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies and security concerns.
Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports.
Assist with package handling and vendor deliveries when required.
Maintain control and documentation of building and concierge keys.
Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
Coordinate with building management and property staff to support daily operations.
Enforce building policies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Communicate clearly during shift transitions to ensure operational continuity.
