Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. This role requires a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and Law Enforcement Officer License. Guided by integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture, you will contribute to a secure environment for transit employees and passengers.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit locations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, facilities, and surrounding perimeters, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and law enforcement as appropriate.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited activity.
- Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site-specific procedures.
