About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in York, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role includes providing customer service, using computer- or tablet-based tools, and communicating professionally while supporting Allied Universal’s team.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet; technology proficiency is preferred.
Customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, maintain visitor and delivery records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
Monitor access-control systems, loading areas, and facility entry points; report unusual activity, policy concerns, and access issues according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, contact appropriate personnel, and document events as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
