About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Pflugerville, Texas, to support access control at a busy logistics and distribution location. The officer will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role requires a professional presence, clear communication, and strong customer service while helping deter security-related incidents. The position is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and pays $18.52 per hour. The role includes opportunities to view and claim additional shifts through the company’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Verify credentials, process visitor and contractor access, maintain entry and exit records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
Monitor access points, gates, and vehicle traffic to help deter unauthorized entry and support orderly movement of deliveries and personnel.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter.
