About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a vehicle patrol position at a government location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and members of the public. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal’s driver policy. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to government facility personnel, visitors, and members of the public while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, document visitor activity, and report access-related concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow emergency response protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
