Security Officer Full Time Vehicle Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a primarily driving vehicle-patrol position at a retail location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role involves serving and safeguarding clients and providing customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store associates. The officer conducts routine and random unarmed patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, responds to concerns and critical situations, and communicates with store personnel and Allied Universal supervision. The position pays $21.00 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 5:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store associates while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Assist with access control and visitor directions.
- Document incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
