About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Retail Security Officer in Tupelo, Mississippi. The officer will help safeguard the client and guests in a retail setting by providing customer service, following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to incidents. The role pays a starting base rate of $12.50 per hour. Weekly pay options are offered. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
