About The Position
ProMedica Security Officers help ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and employees while monitoring hospital facilities. They also assist people with questions about where to go. The role regulates and controls traffic, enforces parking rules, and provides traffic control when needed. Officers investigate and report accidents, hazards, and incidents, and may restrain combative patients as needed. Employees must successfully complete all required training and keep certifications current.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment and a clean driving record, as demonstrated by an MVR, to qualify for coverage under the Company's insurance policy.
- Complete the Basic Security Officer Certification through IAHSS within six months of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in security or a related field.
- Prior security experience.
