About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer specializing in access monitoring in York, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help provide a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. The role requires strong communication and customer service skills while supporting site security operations. The schedule is Thursday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.61 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and access-control activities and complete required reports in accordance with site policies.
