About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for access control monitoring at an assigned site in Hobart, Indiana. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Employees may increase their hours up to 40 per week or scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday, 12:00 PM–7:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following site-specific access control procedures and policies and carrying out appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and effectively to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entry points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership; document incidents and complete required reports.
