About The Position

As a Security Officer Chemical Facility in Kingsport, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial chemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required documentation and communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions according to site procedures, and support visitor, contractor, and delivery processing as directed by location requirements.
• Assist with traffic and gate operations, observe for potential hazards related to industrial operations, and communicate promptly with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
