About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a utilities-related location in Sun Valley, California. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, vendors, and facilities by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to concerns, and delivering customer service. The role includes working with site-specific procedures and policies, communicating clearly, and supporting a welcoming environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of security-related activities.
Observe and report hazards, damaged fencing, unsecured gates, and other conditions requiring attention; escalate concerns to appropriate site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
