About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a parcel site in Norwood, Massachusetts. The officer will help safeguard clients in logistics and distribution by providing customer service, following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies, and conducting patrols. The position offers access to a shift-claiming platform to pick up open shifts based on availability, paid training, and career growth opportunities. Pay is $19.63 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Pass a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Take part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
