Security Officer Unarmed Morning Shift
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer at a utilities location in Shippingport, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, report observations promptly, and provide customer service and clear communication to personnel, visitors, and contractors. The role follows site-specific procedures and supports a team focused on reliability, integrity, and putting people first. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.34 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to assigned areas and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
- Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required daily activity reports.
