About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada. The officer will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors; conduct patrols; monitor access; report concerns; and respond to incidents in accordance with site procedures and post orders. The role offers a schedule of Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, at a rate of $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access, verify visitor credentials according to site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation protocols.
Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
