About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a food and beverage location in Columbus, Ohio, you will help safeguard clients, visitors, employees, and the facility. The role involves providing customer service, following site-specific security procedures, monitoring access and activity, and responding professionally to incidents. Officers conduct visible patrols and may drive when required by the position and company policy.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; it is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe deliveries, visitor activity, and contractor movement according to site requirements.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Drive as needed in accordance with company policy.
