About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer at an educational facility in Rye, New York. The position has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Saturday from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The role is intended for candidates seeking flexible, dependable part-time work, with a potential path toward a full-time schedule.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
