About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail café location in Seattle, Washington. The officer will help safeguard clients, customers, and staff by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and documenting activity using technology. The role emphasizes professional customer service, teamwork, integrity, and a welcoming environment.

The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.74 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for this unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Experience working in a primarily driving post.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail café location, including customer areas, entrances, exterior areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft, and other security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to site-specific procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.
